Fasting
For the proper functioning of the human body, clean, non-carbonated, low-mineralized water is needed. Boiled tap water can also be used for this purpose. Water is the only substance that cleanses the body, and all necessary chemical reactions occur based on it. The recommended daily dose is 1.5 to 3 liters of water. To systematically cleanse the body, regular fasting is required.
Juice Fasting
The technique I provide here is very effective: it cleanses the body, vitamins it, mineralizes it, and regulates it. It is based on juices and works in multiple dimensions.
I will explain how the provided juices work in the body:
- Carrot juice cleanses the liver.
- Apple juice cleanses the kidneys.
- Lemon juice (without peel) supports the action of carrot and apple juices.
- Beet juice also works in this direction and more – it thins the blood, removing excess cholesterol and toxins.
- Pomegranate juice (without peel) regulates and improves blood parameters by regulating liver function and stimulating and repairing the spleen and bone marrow.
- Pomegranate juice (without peel) also very effectively normalizes the work of the pituitary gland and other hormonal glands, repairing the functioning of the entire system.
Fasting should begin with an enema with clean water (up to two liters of prepared warm water) the evening before the fasting day and in the morning of the fasting day.
On the fasting day, only juices and water are consumed:
- Apple juice 500 ml
- Carrot juice 700 ml
- Beet juice 100 ml
- Lemon juice (without peel) 100-150 ml
- Pomegranate juice (without peel) 300 ml
- Clean non-carbonated water 500 ml
Vegetables and fruits are not peeled, just well washed (remove stems and tops). Pomegranate and lemon must be peeled.
Note: Juices should be drunk immediately after being squeezed because they lose their valuable properties with every minute!
At the beginning of drinking a large amount of juice, the body may react in various ways. Nausea and other undesirable symptoms may occur, but they are temporary. Therefore, the amount of juice can be initially reduced by half. Such states may also indicate that a large amount of toxins has accumulated in the blood, flushed out by the juices from the liver, kidneys, etc. In such a situation, you need to help yourself – perform an additional enema with clean water. After washing vegetables and fruits with running tap water, I suggest rinsing them again with prepared and cooled water.
It will absolutely not harm your health if you fast one or two days a week. The results will be much better and will appear in unexpected areas if you also drink juices daily:
- Carrot juice 350 ml
- Apple juice 250 ml
- Beet juice 50 ml
- Lemon juice (without peel) 100 ml
- Pomegranate juice 300 ml (a much worse option is orange or pumpkin juice)
Water Fasting
To systematically cleanse the body, water fasting can be used. It works faster and is more effective than juice fasting.
Fasting without an enema is ineffective, pointless, and can become harmful.
The day before fasting, after 5:00 PM, you should not eat or drink.
In the evening, perform an enema. Use 1.5 to 2 liters of boiled water at a temperature no lower than body temperature – it should be pleasant to the touch.
The enema aims to remove toxic waste, which particularly intensively begins to enter the bloodstream on the fasting day, thereby poisoning the body. This manifests as headaches, nausea, and weakness. We must avoid all this. The enema is an integral part of fasting.
I recommend doing a second enema in the morning on the fasting day, and for multi-day fasting, 3-4 enemas are required in the first two days. During the day, drink 1.5 – 3 liters of only clean water. The day after a one-day fast, eat only cooked and raw plant-based dishes. It is better without adding salt, spicy seasonings, and drink freshly squeezed juices.
Dry Fasting
The strongest of the given one-day fasting techniques is dry fasting.
I propose a fasting technique widely used among yogis Ananda Marga. Fasting is performed according to the lunar calendar, using the dates of the new moon, full moon, and two additional dates, which are 3 days before the new moon and 3 days before the full moon. This means that fasting is carried out on average 4 times a month.
Fasting:
The day before fasting, after 5:00 PM, do not eat or drink. An enema must be done in the evening; otherwise, the fasting is ineffective and loses its meaning.
On the fasting day, do not eat or drink anything.
The Day After Fasting:
The next day, after sunrise, prepare a warm drink from 1.5 liters of water. Add 1.5 – 2 teaspoons of salt and the juice of one lemon. Depending on the condition of the body, the prepared drink can be drunk in one go or within 5 minutes. If no reaction (cleansing) occurs within 15-30 minutes after drinking the drink, to speed up the process, eat one banana. If this does not help, perform a simple exercise: lie on your back, pull the bent right knee to your chin, press firmly and hold for 8 seconds, then do the same with the other knee. Then pull both knees, again holding them for 8 seconds. This is one set. Do 8 such sets. Exercises and bananas help only if cleansing does not occur after the specified time.
After the first bowel movement, depending on the individual reaction of the body, drink from a quarter to a full glass of warm water. Repeat this process after each bowel movement. Set the dose yourself, as each of our bodies reacts differently. Sometimes cleansing can occur without drinking additional water, so do not force it. After 3-4 bowel movements, you can eat the first meal. I propose a very good dish from Ananda Marga called – Kiccheri. It is worth remembering to consume only vegetarian, and preferably vegan products all day.
